Zambezi region of Namibia (panhandle above Botswana), within Bwabwata National Park on the Kwando River. Air access via Katima Mulilo (FlyNamibia, Airlink — Wed/Fri/Sun), Kasane (Botswana), Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), Livingstone (Zambia), and Immelman Airstrip (in the park); then air charter or road transfer. 4x4 required for Nambwa Tented Lodge and Nambwa Campsite once inside the park; final approximately 14 km of soft sand inside the park (~45 min from the gate). Road transfers from airports can be arranged. From Windhoek: approximately 1,114 km / ~11 hours via Otavi, Rundu, and the Okavango at Divundu (B8); overnight stops recommended at Rundu (~440 km) or Bagani (~200 km). Kazile Island Lodge: boat station ~11 km along the C49 off the B8, then ~5-minute boat cruise. Nambwa Campsite: about 45 minutes from Park Entrance Gate on thick sand; Park Entry Permit required at the gate.
