Located in the Epupa Valley along the Kunene River, the second property on the left when entering the valley, marked by a large sign and its distinctive chalets on stilts. Scenic drive from Opuwo 2.5-4 hours or Ruacana 2-4 hours via gravel roads. 4x4 recommended during wet season (November to May) due to flash floods at river crossings such as the Ondoto and Okongwati. Epupa airstrip lies 5 km from the settlement on the plateau, weather-dependent, suitable only for short-strip aircraft; transfers must be pre-arranged. Drive slowly near settlements due to animals and children. Veterinary red line cordon applies: meat from north of the line must be vacuum-packed or permitted; meat and wood generally cannot be taken south across the line.
