The property is a gabled house on a hill on the banks of the ever-flowing Nelsriver. The farm, now in its 8th generation, raises cattle, tobacco, and ostriches. The house is in the foothills of the Swartberge, with the river close to the property.

Activities on the farm include long walks into the mountain, hiking, biking, and braai at the river. Guests can observe the daily farming routine as part of their stay. Bird life can be watched on the property and along the Nelsriver banks.
