About 280 km north of Maputo and 40 km north of Xai Xai on the EN1 towards Inhambane. Roughly 800 km from Pretoria/Johannesburg (about 10–12 hours including border and rest stops). The main road is smooth and pothole-free; a normal car is fine (4x4 not required). Final approach is about 10 km on a dirt road after the Chizavane Beach turn-off (Zona Braza / Nascer de Sol signs). Last fuel before the turn-off is in Xai Xai (Petro Moc). GPS: 25° 0'43.67"S, 34° 2'10.26"E. Also approximately 480 km from Mbombela and 250 km from Maputo.
