In the heart of the picturesque town of Swellendam, you will find 20 on Somerset guesthouse. The property offers travelers much more than just a place to stay, with unmatched views of our town and the beautiful mountains. Spacious garden and upper deck to view our beautiful town.

Each individually decorated room features an on-suite bathroom. In addition, each room contains a Smart TV, free Wi-Fi access, USB charging points, and a bar fridge stocked with 2 soft drinks & water; some rooms( Love , Joy) offer a deck with mountain or sunset views.

Our venue with the Sundowner Deck, is unique in the sense that it offers guests views of our town and the picturesque mountains in the late afternoon; an unique way to enjoy Swellendams sunsets with a glass of wine and dinner. Meals are presented in the form of a platter-for-two. Choices are between a meaty platter or cold meats and cheese platter. A vegetarian platter is also available on request. Platters are at R350,00 pp and must be confirmed 24h00 before arrival.

Guests can enjoy the sunset on the deck at the Boma braai /BBQ. This option is only available if weather allow and must be confirmed with Host. Guest can also do a BBQ at the Boma. Confirm with Host.

At night, guests can also relax and admire the stars with an unobstructed view. There are free parking on-site, secured by an automated gate.

20 On Somerset is located in the historical town of Swellendam. It features over 50 national monuments and is the largest youngberry-growing region in the world. Enjoy berry picking, liqueur tastings, and a variety of historical outings.

Nature lovers will enjoy the plentiful nature reserves around Swellendam, including the Marloth Nature Reserve, Sambona Wildlife Reserve, Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve, and Bontebok National Park. Wildlife in Swellendam includes the endangered Bontebok and Cape Mountain Zebra as well as bushbuck, klipspringer, baboon, mongoose, and the occasional Leopard. Birding enthusiasts will marvel at over 200 species of birds, including waterfowl, eagles, Narina Trogon, Paradise Flycatcher, and the Knysna Woodpecker.
