About

Acara Guest Cottages is fully serviced, self-catering thatched cottage accommodation on Winery Road between Stellenbosch and Somerset West in Happy Vale valley, with five units for up to 14.

Accommodation

Five self-catering units with terrace or deck and mountain, garden or pool views. Thatch Suite, Balcony Room and Jacaranda Suite sleep two with king beds and kitchenettes. Lavender Cottage and WillowTree Cottage sleep up to four, with full kitchens, multiple bedrooms and lounge areas.

Facilities

Solar-heated saltwater pool, large gardens and paddocks. Wifi in rooms, pool area and most of the garden; heating, cooling and high-speed wifi throughout. Solar backup during load-shedding. DVD and CD players available. Hamper breakfast on prior request. Gardens offer seating, pergola, hammock and paddock walks.

Location & Surroundings

Between Stellenbosch and Somerset West on Winery Road in Happy Vale. Stellenbosch 10 minutes (13 km), Cape Town International about 20 minutes, V&A Waterfront about 30 minutes, nearest beach about 7 minutes. Hermanus and Franschhoek about 40 minutes each. 96 Winery Road is a 400 m walk.
