The Bluff is a residential area found south of Durban central, hugging the coastline with its beautiful beaches. This suburb's name refers to the high point of land that juts out of the sea; a natural landmark that is known as a bluff. In older days, The Bluff has played an important role as a visual reference for sailors, helping them navigate their way into Durban's harbor.
