Access from the N3 is via gravel road (Estcourt/Mooi River area); the road can be rough or in poor condition but is usable in a normal car. Property is on Fernhurst Farm near Giants Castle and Kamberg nature reserves in the Central Drakensberg. A 750 m grass airstrip for light aircraft/helicopters is available (undulating but maintained; no hangar or fuel; elevation 4,580 ft; width 15 m; frequency 124.8; circuits west of the field; ~300 m walk to main lodge; closest alternative Estcourt; courtesy car for luggage by prior arrangement).
