The Barracks is AA Quality Assured Superior heritage accommodation in Colesberg, Northern Cape. An 1851 guest house, renovated 2004, marketed as a Karoo stopover.

Accommodation

Double rooms have private access, en-suite bathrooms (Unit 03 shower only), private patios, full air-conditioning, and TV with M-Net (DSTV Hotel Bouquet). A large family unit has a private courtyard with an oak tree and grape vines, suitable for guests travelling with dogs. Cosy, well-appointed rooms.

Facilities

Dining room breakfast offers Full English or Continental, with dietary needs such as vegetarian or no pork accommodated. A cosy pub has a selection of wine. Secure off-street parking is limited. No trailers, boats, or caravans. No arrivals after 21:00. Pet-friendly.
