Bassfeather Country Lodge is farm estate accommodation near Reitz in the eastern Free State, with eight self-catering chalets for quiet country stays.

Accommodation

Eight self-catering chalets sleep three to six. Units include open-plan chalets with queen and single beds or four singles, ground and first floor layouts with double or queen bedrooms plus four singles, and a two-bedroom chalet. Room 7 has dam views.

Facilities

Chalets have self-catering kitchens with fridge/freezer and microwave, some with two-plate stoves, bathrooms with shower, air-conditioning, TV, bedding, private braai areas, and coffee and tea on arrival. A 400 m² rustic round thatch function venue seats up to 250.

Location & Surroundings

Near Reitz in the eastern Free State. The farm estate lodge offers scenic surroundings and fishing spots on the property, with outdoor fishing and farm experiences. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook nature at the function venue, and a rose garden enhances the setting in summer.
