Bredasdorp, claiming the title of South Africa's first "dorp," graces the slopes of Preekstoel Hill, a picturesque setting adorned with the region's iconic proteas. Named after Michiel van Breda, Cape Town's first mayor and pioneer of the merino sheep industry, the town serves as the economic heart of the Cape Agulhas region, catering to both local farmers and visiting tourists.
