About

Big Tree House Lodge is self-catering accommodation overlooking the Knysna Lagoon in Knysna on the Garden Route, with four timber-framed units and lagoon and Knysna Heads views.

Accommodation

Four timber-framed units reached by wooden walkways: Big Tree House (sleeps 6–8) with three en suite bedrooms; Sunbird Cottage and Lagoon Cottage (each sleep 4–6); and Protea Cottage (sleeps 2). Units have open-plan kitchens, private braai decks, and views over the lagoon and Knysna Heads.

Facilities

Fully equipped kitchens with gas stoves, free WiFi, flat-screen satellite TV, and inverter/battery backup for WiFi and TV during outages. Private decks with braai, secure off-street parking, towels and linen, heaters and blankets in winter, basic toiletries, tea and coffee on arrival, and twice-filtered drinking water.

Location & Surroundings

Near the centre of Knysna, midway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Overlooking Knysna Lagoon with access to beach, forest and wildlife. Nearby include Knysna Elephant Park, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Featherbed Paddle Cruiser, Knysna Waterfront and Brenton-on-Sea Beach. Day trips to George, Oudtshoorn and Plettenberg Bay.
