Die Kliphuis is a large stone cottage for 4 with a full kitchen. Oom Hannes is a rustic cottage for 6 in 3 small bedrooms. Vaal Johannes has a cold plunge pool. Each cottage has a private splash pool. Bedding and towels are provided.

Kitchens stocked with basics, cutlery, crockery and utensils. Stone braai areas with braai grid, pot and one bundle of firewood. Filtered mountain-stream water. Solar power with low-energy lighting; cook on gas, Dover stoves or braai. Shaded parking under walnut trees. No cell phone or internet reception.

In Gamkaskloof (Die Hel), about 52 km from the Gamkaskloof turn-off via the Swartberg Pass. Historic houses, old schools and graves in the kloof. Fauna includes Verreaux's and Fish Eagles, klipspringer, kudu and Cape leopard; 153 bird species. Hiking on Die Leer, birdwatching and river pools.
