Caracal Lodge is self-catering accommodation comprising seven cottages and secluded bush lodges on a 300ha game-fenced property in Houtboshoek, Mpumalanga with free-roaming game including giraffes.

Accommodation

Seven cottages and secluded bush lodges include three gas-only units with LED lighting, gas stoves, gas geysers, gas fridges and private braai areas. Four 2-bedroom cottages have open-plan kitchens, limited DSTV, private braai bomas and decks for viewing wildlife. A renovated farmhouse and outside rooms sleep up to 28 guests.

Facilities

On-site Rooikat se Gat honesty bar and games room serves limited drinks with full DSTV, pool table, darts, table tennis and foosball. It overlooks the communal swimming pool and braai area with free firewood. Property features include marked hiking trails, 4x4 trails, fishing dams, caves and birdwatching over 150 species.

Caracal Lodge is in Houtboshoek, Mpumalanga. The property is approximately one hour from Kruger National Park, convenient for overnight stops or day trips.
