From Durban:
Take N3 towards Johannesburg. Continue on N3 until you approach the Shell Ultra City Service Station (north of Estcourt). Take the off ramp directly after the Shell Ultra City marked "Winterton / Colenso R74." Turn right towards Colenso. Continue straight on the R74, after passing the RTI weighbridge near Ladysmith (do not take the left turn marked Ladysmith CBD) continue straight over the bridge as though you will be taking the Johannesburg Alternative Route. At the T-Junction (Johannesburg to your left, Ladysmith to your right), turn right. Continue passed the Military Base to first set of traffic lights (robots). Continue straight over traffic lights and take immediate left after the Caltex Service Station. Continue up the road to the second stop street. Turn left (La Verna Hospital will be on your right). Continue slowly for about 100m, Lavender Lane | Convent Road will be on your right hand side.

Take N3 towards Durban. Continue on N3, following sign boards marked Durban. Once you approach Van Reenen (small town after Harrismith) we caution you to please take it easy down the Van Reenen Pass as this stretch of road is extremely high risk with accidents, a 60 to 80km speed is clearly marked on the roads. Once nearing the bottom of the pass and the Tugela Toll Plaza there will be signs that read Ladysmith (R74). Take the off ramp marked Ladysmith (R74). Continue on this road until you enter Ladysmith. Continue past the Military Base to first set of traffic lights (robots). Continue straight over traffic lights and take immediate left after the Caltex Service Station. Continue up the road to the second stop street. Turn left (La Verna Hospital will be on your right). Continue slowly for about 100m, Convent Hill will be on your right hand side.
