Dawsons Luxury Game Lodge is a family-owned game lodge providing accommodation on a 2000-hectare private savannah in Mpumalanga with free-roaming wildlife and options from lodge to homestead.

Accommodation

The property offers lodge, cabin, cottage and homestead options. The homestead is a restored vintage farmhouse with seven double rooms, five en-suite and bunk beds for children, for up to 14 guests. It has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge with DSTV, braai and private pool by the bass dam.

Facilities

Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, private swimming pool, fully equipped kitchens, braai facilities, lounges with DSTV and fireplaces. The Boma is a rustic outdoor space for African cuisine. Dedicated conference facilities, a lodge restaurant serving traditional provincial cuisine and patio breakfast, and soothing massages are available.

Location & Surroundings

The lodge is a colonial-style retreat on 2000 hectares of savannah plains in Mpumalanga's Lowveld at the base of Nelshoogte Pass with panoramic mountain vistas. It is a 3-hour drive from Johannesburg. The wildlife-rich landscape with zebras, giraffes, native buck, permanent waterways and waterfalls is on a multi-generational family farm.
