A beautiful, completely off-grid relaxing stay in nature. Diggersrest Lodge offers accommodation in the beautiful Magoebaskloof area nearby Haenertsburg. Situated high up in the mountains, along a 4km gravel road with stunning views of Tzaneen,

All units feature a terrace and/or patio with further seating available in the garden or on the viewing deck. Some of the units offer a well-equipped kitchen, fitted with an oven, microwave, toaster and all utensils. A refrigerator and kettle are also provided.

There is a private bathroom with either a bath or shower in every unit. Towels and bed linen are offered as well as swimming towels upon request. Please note that some units are situated on the 1st floor or have stairs to access the bedrooms.

Diggersrest Lodge also includes a seasonal outdoor pool and beautiful views of Georges Valley from our garden. Free secured private parking is available to guests.

You can engage in various activities, such as cycling, visiting the local brewery Zwakala, hiking and birding. Or simply enjoy a lovely day by the fire playing boardgames or by the poolside depending on the weather.

Location & Surroundings

Magoebaskloof (Makgoba) Pass is situated in the Limpopo Province, on the R71, the road between Tzaneen and Polokwane, in South Africa.

It is a lush green mountainous area, covered by natural evergreen subtropical forest. Magoebaskloof is a tourist attraction area which shows off its natural wonders such as the Debengeni waterfalls, Magoebaskloof and Ebenezer dams and many forest hiking trails.
