Erongo Rocks is a camping accommodation in Namibia's Erongo Mountains offering standard camping and dome tents across eight distinct, privately-spaced campsites with solar-powered, off-grid living.

Accommodation

Erongo Rocks features eight distinct campsites plus comfy camping dome tents with mattresses, linen, duvet, and pillows. Campsites range from remote, minimal sites to comfortable equipped platforms. Occupancy ranges from couples (minimum 2 adults) to larger groups (4+ adults). Sites are widely scattered for privacy and wilderness immersion.

Facilities

Select campsites offer 220V electricity with plug points. All sites have outdoor lighting. Facilities include flushing toilets, bucket and hot showers (wood-fired boiler at select sites), braai facilities, running water, and sinks. The Farmhouse operates 8am-6pm offering plunge pool, Wi-Fi, coffee, refreshments, homemade cake, and ice-cream.

Location & Surroundings

Erongo Rocks lies between Etosha National Park, Windhoek, and Swakopmund. Activities include scenic hiking trails, guided 2-hour hikes to ancient rock paintings ~6km away, rock climbing on Greek Wall, Bird Wall, and Chessboard Wall, plus birdwatching for Rosy-faced Lovebirds and Monteiro's Hornbills.
