Directions to Hippo Pools Resort

From Johannesburg: Take the N12 through Middleburg; turn off at Belfast toward Dullstroom and Lydenburg. Continue through Ohrigstad, Abel Erasmus Pass, and Strydom Tunnel toward Hoedspruit. At the 2nd four-way stop in town, turn left onto the R40 toward Phalaborwa. Resort is on the left after approximately 20 km before the Olifants River. From Polokwane: Drive to Tzaneen, take R71 toward Gravelotte, continue toward Mica. After crossing the Olifants River, the turnoff to the resort is 1 km further on the right. Nearest airports: Hoedspruit Eastgate (daily SA Express Airways flights) and Phalaborwa (daily SA Airlink flights). Airport pick-ups available at an additional charge.
