The guesthouse (Hy's Oppie See) has only four rooms, each with its own bathroom, making it the perfect hideaway for couples. (Unfortunately we do not cater for children under the age of 14 ) The vibe is relaxed yet a little indulgent - luxury without losing that homey warmth.
Guests love gathering in the big living area, cooking in the kitchen, trying out the indoor braai or pizza oven, or just curling up in front of the TV. Outside, two more braai spots make it easy to spend evenings under the stars.
This is a place for adults to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the sea at their doorstep. A little piece of coastal bliss, waiting to be shared. The Jongensfontein Nature Reserve is 600 meters away, and the Jongensfontein Tidal pool can be reached within 1.3 km from Hy's Oppie See.

Imagine waking up just a few metres from the sea, in a cosy little town where life slows down and everything you need is a short stroll away- two friendly cafes, a welcoming restaurant, a deli filled with local flavours, and a wine store for those sunset evenings.

Location & Surroundings
Jongensfontein is a tranquil coastal village nestled along South Africa's scenic Garden Route, making it a favourite holiday getaway. It's especially popular for those who love the outdoors, offering beautiful beaches, excellent fishing, and great conditions for surfing.
The area is also a hit with hikers, most notably for its access to the famous Southern Right Whale Trail. Situated just a short distance west of Stilbaai, Jongensfontein provides a variety of accommodation options and plenty of opportunities for nature-based activities, from bird watching in the Jongensfontein Nature Reserve to exploring the local terrain on designated 4x4 routes.
