Kishindo Canyon Lodge is a small secluded off-grid eco-luxury accommodation on the Kishindo Conservation Reserve in South Africa's Free State.

Accommodation

Three king-size en-suite suites for a maximum of six guests feature large bathrooms, air conditioning, air coolers operating all day and private balconies with canyon views. Select suites include open-air showers. The lodge is built into the canyon cliff face using natural materials and is fully solar-powered and off-grid.

Facilities

Facilities include comfortable lounges, a swimming pool with outdoor dining space beside it, and a boma bonfire area. On-site are a boutique, gallery and curio shop. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. Bush picnics and traditional braais are offered. A dedicated team provides service. Dietary requirements are accommodated with prior notice.

Location & Surroundings

Kishindo Canyon Lodge is on the Kishindo Conservation Reserve in South Africa's Free State on the edge of Paaiskloof Canyon near Philippolis, Vanderkloof Dam and Gariep Dam. The reserve is home to free-roaming tigers, cheetahs and over 250 bird species including blue cranes. Bloemfontein is 2½ hours away.
