The cottage is at the foot of Breedt Nek pass, site of the Boer War Battle of Nooitgedacht on 13 Dec 1900. It is 90 minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria and 50 minutes from the West Rand. The pass is accessible only by 4x4, mountain bike, quad bike or foot.
