Accommodation
Five self-contained units: three suites and two one- or two-bedroom chalets in garden settings, plus a backpacker dorm with six single beds and a double bedroom. Suites and chalets range from semi-self-catering to full kitchens. Comfortable, colourful, relaxed rooms for long stays or stopovers.
Facilities
On-site Shazorro German bistro serves German cuisine Wednesday to Sunday, with deck seating overlooking gardens. Free mini golf when open, pool table, and games room with table tennis and darts in development. Chemical-free ecopool project underway. Strange Days Gallery and Craft Shop on site. Small functions and weddings hosted.
Location & Surroundings
Near Balgowan, KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, among farms and indigenous forest. On the R103 Midlands Meander, midway between Nottingham Road and Howick. 1 km farm road access. 5 km from Michaelhouse. Midmar Dam and Drakensberg resorts in easy reach. Howick about 20 min, Mooi River 25 min north, Pietermaritzburg 35 min south.
