Accommodation
The main lodge has 20 air-conditioned en-suite rooms: 13 twin rooms sleeping 2, 6 family rooms sleeping 4 or 5, and a honeymoon suite with lounge and fireplace. Little Mongena has 10 en-suite tents. The Barnhouse offers two en-suite bedrooms with king beds and a fully equipped kitchen.
Facilities
Facilities include free Wi-Fi, standby generators, an on-site restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, swimming pools, and multiple conference and event venues including Tshukudu Lapa and Imvubu Lapa. Full board packages include meals and two wildlife activities per night. A 1,150-metre tarred airstrip serves overnight guests.
Location & Surroundings
Dinokeng Game Reserve, Gauteng’s only Big Five game reserve, is home to lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo and over 300 bird species. The lodge is 40 minutes from Pretoria and 1.5 hours from Johannesburg. The Barnhouse is approximately 6 km from the main lodge.

Air-conditioned en-suite family room with bath, shower and separate toilet, balcony. Most sleep 4 on twin beds (2 downstairs + 2 upstairs); one sleeps 5. Same amenities as twin rooms.

Air-conditioned en-suite honeymoon suite with lounge, dining area, fireplace and private deck overlooking the watering hole.
En-suite Tent

Luxury air-conditioned en-suite tent with shower and tea/coffee-making facilities at Little Mongena Tented Camp on the banks of the 30-hectare Mongena Dam. Access to communal dining and infinity swimming pool overlooking the dam. Excellent birdwatching spot.
Barn House

Private self-catering holiday home with two en-suite bedrooms approximately 6 km from Mongena Main Lodge in a remote unfenced section of the reserve. Both bedrooms have king-size beds that convert to singles; one bedroom includes an extra single bed. Fully equipped open-plan kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and thermo-fan oven/hob. Lounge with flat-screen DSTV TV and free-standing gas heater opens to spacious patio overlooking the plains and adjacent unfenced lapa/braai area. Solar powered with backup generator. Bed linen, towels and stand-alone fans provided. Optional daily cleaning available at no extra charge. Check-in at Mongena Main Lodge which provides safe guest parking; guests are escorted and may not drive own vehicles in the area.
Twin Tent

Eco-friendly fenced and solar-powered twin-bedded tent in private traversing area on the northern section of the reserve. Each tent has two twin beds, linen, towels, luggage racks, bedside table and power point. Access to central unisex ablution facility with basins, indoor and outdoor showers and flush toilets; thatched communal dining and lounge area, open-air boma with fireplace, swimming pool and fully equipped kitchen. Daily cleaning and personal camp butler included. Self-catering option or catered Wilderness Trails package available. Minimum 2-night stay for self-catering with at least 4 guests. No children under 12. Check-in at Mongena Main Lodge with secure parking; transfers by safari vehicle.
