Self-catering units include The Tin House (three bedrooms, two bathrooms, sleeps nine), Acorn Cottage (one-bedroom stone rondavel for two), Stables (sleeps five dormitory-style), Tasset and Kruger rustic one-room cottages, plus camping. Off-grid solar since 2019.
Facilities
Large lawns for braaiing and picnics, a children’s play area and tyre swing, weekend coffee shop, and Oakleaf with kitchen, braai, fireplace and ablutions. Burnham Hall seats up to 60 with cooking facilities. Gas geysers; no power at campsites.

About 35 km from Newcastle (KZN), 30 km from Memel (Free State), roughly 4 hours from Johannesburg. Escarpment above Newcastle in the greater Ncandu Forest and Grassland Reserve, with high grasslands, forest pockets, a gorge, Ncandu River swimming, and waterfalls.
