Directions to Nambwa Tented Lodge

Namibia’s Zambezi panhandle (Bwabwata National Park / Kwando River), north of Botswana. Airports: Katima Mulilo/Mpacha (Namibia; FlyNamibia, Airlink Wed/Fri/Sun), Kasane (Botswana), Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), Livingstone (Zambia); also Immelman Airstrip (Bwabwata). Air charters or road transfers arranged. Road from Windhoek ~1,114 km / ~11 hours via Otavi, Rundu and Divundu; overnight options Rundu (~440 km) or Bagani (~200 km). Major roads paved; 4WD needed for the last ~14 km inside the park (~45 minutes through soft sand from the gate). Nambwa Tented Lodge: from park entrance follow green signs toward the lodge (4×4 recommended). Nambwa Campsite: from Park Entrance Gate follow green signs toward Nambwa Tented Lodge; at the fork take Nambwa Campsite sign right, then left at next campsite sign to reception (~45 minutes; 4×4 required); Park Entry Permit must be bought at the gate. Kazile Island Lodge: boat station ~11 km along the C49 off the B8, then ~5-minute boat cruise to the lodge.
