Each self-catering apartment features a queen-size bed, a private bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchenette containing a gas top burner, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery, and an iron with ironing board; everything you need for a comfortable, self-sufficient stay.

Thoughtful amenities include free Wi-Fi, a smart TV with DStv and Netflix access, and air-conditioning.

Guests enjoy the convenience of self-check-in and private entrances, ensuring privacy and flexibility. While breakfast is not included, the kitchenette allows for easy and flexible meal preparation.

The property boasts a backup water system in case of local water shedding. The area has a night-time neighbourhood watch that operates from 18h00 to 06h00.

Welkom, located in the Lejweleputswa District of the Free State, is South Africa’s youngest city, having achieved city status in 1955, and is known as the hub of the Free State goldfields, situated about 160 km northeast of Bloemfontein. Its name, meaning "welcome" in Afrikaans or Dutch, reflects the town’s origins following the discovery of gold in the area, with notable development influence from Ernest Oppenheimer, then chairman of Anglo American.

Unique among global cities, Welkom was entirely pre-planned, resulting in an efficient urban layout where each suburb has its own shopping and commercial centres within easy walking distance.
