Guests have direct access to over 11 km of the Elands and Swartkoppies Rivers for fly fishing rainbow trout and bushveld smallscale yellowfish, natural rock pools for swimming and picnicking, well-maintained hiking trails and mountain bike trails through forests, grasslands and riverbanks.

The 2,500-hectare reserve on the Mpumalanga escarpment lies 2.5 hours from Johannesburg, 1.5 hours from Kruger National Park and 2.5 hours from Maputo on the route to Kruger Park and Mozambique.
