Ohorongo Private Game Reserve in Namibia offers tented accommodation and safari lodge stays with wildlife encounters in a 35,000-hectare conservation area.

Accommodation

Sustainable semi-permanent wood-and-canvas tents with thatched roofs and wooden decks feature private verandas, indoor and outdoor showers including under the stars, tea and coffee stations, WiFi, fans, bathrobes and slippers. Namibian-styled rooms have separate bedroom and living areas, tea and coffee facilities, fans, small fridges and writing desks.

Facilities include two swimming pools, breakfast restaurant with vista, contemporary African lounge and restaurant with WiFi, open outdoor fire at night, waterhole with active wildlife, farm-to-table dining, own landing strip with free transfers, inviting pool area, fireplace, curio shop, hide for high tea and solar-powered low carbon footprint.

Location & Surroundings

The 35,000-hectare Ohorongo Private Game Reserve lies in a remote corner of the Namibian highlands 300 km north of Windhoek and protects a population of desert-adapted black rhino plus more than 40 other species across savannah, gorges, granite outcrops, natural springs and ancient Bushman caves.
