Pumula Surf Camp is family-run self-catering accommodation in a restored fisherman’s cottage in the seaside village of Pumula on KZN’s South Coast, about 1 hour south of Durban.

Accommodation

A homely Surf House converted from a traditional fisherman’s cottage sleeps 12 guests across 4 large bedrooms, with private doubles (Sun Room, Zen Room), dorms, and shared living. Rooms are cosy and colourful, with 2 indoor bathrooms and 1 outdoor bathroom with hot shower.

Facilities

Self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen. Facilities include WiFi, a large wooden deck, forest yoga deck, outdoor wood-fired pizza oven, shared communal living and dining, covered outdoor dining, and a sunny library chill room. Homemade meals optional.

Location & Surroundings

Seaside village of Pumula on KZN’s South Coast, about 1 hour south of Durban. A short 300 m walk to Pumula Beach and the Injambili River with no roads to cross. Surrounding bush wildlife includes vervet monkeys, porcupines, bushbuck, birds, dolphins and whales.
