Accommodation
Three two-sleeper cottages and one eight-sleeper cottage. The Old School House has three bedrooms (two double, one with custom-made adult bunk beds), fully equipped kitchen, and central bathroom with shower and bath. All are self-catering with stoep porches overlooking the river and Swartberg Mountains.
Facilities
On-farm activities include five marked walking paths, wildlife and livestock viewing, swimming and canoeing in the Gamka River (canoes and rowing boat provided), fishing from the jetty, private library, deck with hammocks, campfire stargazing, and terrapin watching. Evening braais available at the boma.
Location & Surroundings
The property sits in Matjiesvlei valley near Calitzdorp in the Little Karoo, overlooking the Gamka River against the Swartberg Mountain Range. Nearby attractions include Seveweeks Poort, Gamkapoort dam, Bosluiskloof, Rooiberg Pass, Outeniqua Pass, Swartberg Pass, Meiringspoort, Rust-en-vrede waterfall, and Red Stone Hills.
