Riverbend on Komati is private self-catering accommodation on the Komati River, within the 2,500-hectare Komati Gorge Wildlife & Fly-fishing Reserve, with 360° river and northern Drakensberg views.

Accommodation

Four bedrooms: two queen en-suite rooms, one further queen room, and one twin room. One queen room is a separate self-contained suite with full bathroom and fireplace. The main house has two full bathrooms plus open-plan dining and lounge with fireplace.

Facilities

Fully equipped kitchen with six-plate/gas stove and oven, breakfast nook, scullery, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, and coffee machine. Covered patio with braai, rear tea nook, river-view fire pit, free shaded parking. Pet-friendly. Short walk or drive to Komati Gorge Lodge restaurant, pub, pool, and spa.

Location & Surroundings

On the edge of the Komati River within the Komati Gorge Wildlife & Fly-fishing Reserve (12 km of river), set atop a gorge with water over the weir below. Reserve activities include fly-fishing for Yellowfish, Bass and Barbel, hiking, waterfalls, wild swimming, picnics, horse riding, birding, and game drives.
