Rocky’s Wildplaas is a charming rural retreat located on Avontuur Road in the Klipnek area near Loskop Dam. Rocky’s Wildplaas offers an authentic farm-stay experience. Surrounded by picturesque landscapes, this unique getaway blends rustic charm with modern comforts, providing a homely escape for families, friends, and nature lovers.

Rocky’s Wildplaas is rented out as one exclusive unit, giving guests full access to the entire game farm and all its cabins, ideal for family gatherings, group getaways, or special celebrations where privacy, space, and togetherness are key.

Accommodation is spread across a variety of cosy log cabins that sleep between 4 and 6 guests each. Some cabins share ablution facilities with others, while a few offer private bathrooms for added convenience. Cabins are comfortably furnished with combinations of double beds, single beds, and bunk beds. Select cabins include kitchenettes and patios with outdoor seating, offering a relaxed and rustic atmosphere.

All guests enjoy access to the communal Lapa area, which features a fully equipped kitchen with cooking and fridge facilities, a TV with DStv to keep up with live sports and entertainment, and BBQ/Braai areas with outdoor seating. Braai wood is provided for your convenience. Guests can book scheduled game viewer trips with prior arrangement at an additional cost, or they will need a high-clearance vehicle to explore the farm on their own. Wi-Fi is available in the Lapa, and secure parking is included to ensure peace of mind during your stay.

Location & Surroundings

The Loskop Dam Nature Reserve is a major attraction, offering opportunities for fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. Visitors can spot animals such as white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. The scenic landscape, with its mix of bushveld and open fields, is ideal for hiking, birdwatching, and exploring nature.

Rocky's Wildplaas is also close to Middelburg. Middelburg is a thriving town known for its industrial, agricultural, and tourism significance. It lies along the N4 highway, making it a key stop between Johannesburg and Nelspruit. Home to one of the largest stainless steel plants in the world, Columbus Stainless, which drives much of the local economy. The surrounding area supports farming, particularly maize, wheat, and livestock.
