The Sani Pass, also called the Roof of Africa, takes travellers along a spectacular 9 km mountain road that snakes its way from the Drakensberg in South Africa, into Lesotho. Once at the summit of the pass, visitors can enjoy Maluti Beer from Lesotho at the Sani Top pub, the highest pub in South Africa at 2,874m.
The Drakensberg is a 200 km mountain range and World Heritage Site. It covers three provinces, from the Eastern Cape to Mpumalanga, with the largest portion of the area falling in KwaZulu-Natal. The Drakensberg Mountains are a wonderland of winter snow-capped peaks, waterfalls, rock art, and forests that ensure holidaymakers are spoiled with relentless scenic beauty.
