Boutique B&B bordering a nature sanctuary, offering magnificent Palmiet Valley views, abundant birdlife, and tranquil surroundings. Centrally located in Westville within walking distance of pubs, restaurants, and shopping centres, with high-speed internet access throughout the property.

Serenity Place B&B offers five well-appointed guestrooms with air conditioning, fans, en-suite bathrooms, and private balconies or patios. Rooms include a microwave, bar fridge, kettle, tea and coffee station, plus TV with DStv and Netflix, providing comfortable accommodation with scenic views and convenient in-room amenities.

Our fully air-conditioned conference facility accommodates up to 30 attendees in a safe, quiet, and exclusive environment ideal for meetings, presentations, and team collaboration. The venue is equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment, with refreshments and lunch served in a separate area opening onto the gardens and pool.

The conference facility has dedicated toilets and showers, and opens onto beautiful gardens set against the natural bush, providing a relaxed environment for breaks. Use of the conference center is free for all stay-in B&B guests, and is open 24 hours, with self service coffee & tea station.

Breakfast is included in our B&B rates; however, we do not operate a restaurant.

Our wedding package offers a stunning outdoor setting overlooking the nature sanctuary, supported by a spacious events hall with separate toilet and shower facilities available as a backup venue in case of inclement weather.

For visiting school teams, we offer hostel-type accommodation for up to 14 children, while the B&B accommodates up to 12 adults (teachers or parents) in a safe, private, and exclusive environment.

Location & Surroundings

Lying between Sherwood and Pinetown, Westville is only 15 minutes from the city centre yet set amongst rolling hills, gardens peppered by meandering streams, and tree-lined streets that bring you even closer to attractions like the Pavilion shopping centre and Pietermaritzburg. Westville Life hospital is a short 5-minute drive away.

Westville has become quite a business centre and office parks have attracted a few major companies and professional firms enjoy it out here, where it is slightly cooler than Durban and bounded by the N3 and M19, making their offices accessible.

The Westville campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal is situated in the suburb.
