About

Stanford Valley is a 440-hectare farm retreat in the Klein River valley, about 90 minutes from Cape Town, with country lodge accommodation in whitewashed free-standing and terraced cottages.

Accommodation

Free-standing or terraced cottages, all with bathrooms; some with kitchenettes. Most have indoor and outdoor fireplaces (wood supplied daily), a walled garden, and a furnished stoep. Options include double en-suite rooms and one- or two-bedroom cottages sleeping two to five.

Facilities

Farm buildings house a restaurant, spa, bar, art gallery, and conference centre for up to 80. Poplar Country Spa offers treatments, wood-fired sauna, steam room, and plunge pool. Lodge pool with loungers, spring-fed farm dam for wild swimming, guest-only 16 km MTB trails, and marked nature walks.

Location & Surroundings

Stanford Valley is in the Klein River valley, about 90 minutes from Cape Town and 10 minutes from Stanford. Hermanus and Gansbaai are within easy reach, and it is a stop en route to the Garden Route. Wine, dairy, protea, and orchid farms neighbour the property.
