Taaiboschfontein offers self-catering cottages with comfortable beds and private bathrooms. Each cottage has its own unique charm, featuring traditional Karoo architecture using local materials and charming details, while some provide more modern comforts. The accommodation is welcoming, rustic and comfortable.

Facilities

Facilities include a traditional braai boma for outdoor cooking under the stars and a windpomp dam swimming pool filled with crystal-clear Karoo water. Guests receive complementary access to the gong range for target shooting and rifle adjustment. Onsite taxidermy and meat processing options through Travalia are available by prior arrangement.

Location & Surroundings

Taaiboschfontein is a 5000-hectare family-owned sheep farm in South Africa’s Karoo region in the heart of the Karoo. It is positioned for travellers between Cape Town and inland destinations. The guest house is directly beside a 1000-hectare game camp.
