Directions from Windhoek
Drive on the B1 from Windhoek towards South Africa.
About 12km before Mariental turn left at the large intersection on to the new tarred C20 road. Continue to Stampriet (33km) and take the right fork C15 towards Gochas (72km). If necessary, buy fuel at Stampriet or Gochas. Stay on the C15 for 140km, following the signs to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (previously Kalahari Gemsbok Park). DO NOT take the C17 fork to Koes. 45 - 50km after the C17 fork, the entrance to Terra Rouge is signposted as a left turn off the road.
Directions from Keetmanshoop
At Keetmanshoop turn north-east on to the C17 (C29) towards Koes. After about 12km take the right fork C17 to Koes.
Pass Koes and continue for another 66km until you reach the C15. Turn right onto the C15 for 45 - 50km, following the road signs to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (previously known as the Kalahari Gemsbok Park). After 45 - 50km the entrance to Terra Rouge is signposted as a left turn off the road.
The Mata Mata gate of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
is only 45km from Terra Rouge - ideal for a day's visit.
