The Royl Guesthouse offers comfortable rooms for businessmen or leisure travellers and is centrally situated in the suburb of Royldene in Kimberley. The guest house is ideally situated 5 km from Kimberley Airport and 2.5 km from The Big Hole Museum.

Each comfortably decorated room can accommodate 1 or 2 persons and features a private bathroom. In addition, each room contains air-conditioning, tea- and coffee-making facilities, free Wi-Fi access, a TV for media entertainment, a work desk with a seat, and access to a patio.

Location & Surroundings

Kimberley, known as the city that sparkles", has historical importance due to its savvy diamond mining past. The Big Hole formed part of the diamond rush of the 1870s where men managed to excavate three tons of diamonds and 22,5 million tons of earth in the process.

Today, Kimberley is a modern city with wide, tree-lined streets, beautiful parks and gardens, and bustling shopping centres. The city is a major tourist attraction, boasting a diversity of museums that will teach each visitor some great history lessons.

One of Kimberleys famous natural features is Kamfers Dam, a natural heritage site that is a large wetland supporting a breeding colony of Lesser Flamingos. Kimberley also forms a gateway to other Northern Cape destinations such as the Mokala National Park, nature reserves, game farms, and historic sites.
