The School is farm-style accommodation in restored Rheenendal primary school buildings, renovated 2018, just outside Knysna on the Garden Route, with an arts studio vibe.

Accommodation

Stay options are the Elephant Room and Church Room (en-suite, private entrances off a covered verandah), the Mud Cottage (restored adobe, private garden, self-catering), and the School Farmhouse (4 en-suite bedrooms for whole-house stays of more than 5 days).

Facilities

Uncapped WiFi is included. On site: art studio with printing press on request, workshops and events, and creative retreats. The property runs on rain water. Mud Cottage has an indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. Farmhouse has a professional kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machine.

Location & Surroundings

In Rheenendal, just outside Knysna on the Garden Route. About 15 minutes to Knysna National Park and Knysna shops and dining; about 25 minutes to Sedgefield beaches and Wild Oats farmers market; about 20 minutes to Buffalo Bay and the Gudveld section of Tsitsikamma National Park.
