Access is marked by Treetops signs on the approach into Meerensee and along the final stretch. From Durban: Leave the N2 at the Richards Bay off-ramp; turn right at the robot and continue approximately 22 km. Just before the road bends left into Meerensee, turn right at the Treetops sign on the island between the roads, then follow the Treetops signs. From Melmoth: Drive through Empangeni towards Richards Bay for approximately 22 km. Same Meerensee bend/sign: turn right and follow the Treetops signs. From Pongola: Leave the N2 at the Richards Bay sign; at the T-junction turn left and continue approximately 10 km to the next T-junction; turn left onto the John Ross Highway. Same Meerensee bend/sign: turn right and follow the Treetops signs.
