Umziki Pan is self-catering accommodation on a family-owned game farm between Hluhluwe and the western shores of False Bay, part of iSimangaliso Wetland Park. A Natural Heritage Site since 1988, it is a recognised member of Birdlife South Africa.

Accommodation

The property offers four units serviced daily. Umzimbeet, the guesthouse, sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms (2 twin, 2 double) with an open plan lounge, dining room, and fully-equipped kitchen. Flatcrown, a rondawel, sleeps 5. Torchwood, a square-dawel, and Podberry, the most basic rondawel, each sleep 2 guests.

Facilities

Each unit includes tea and coffee, bed linen, and towels. Toiletries are not provided. Most units have a kitchenette or fully-equipped kitchen with a fridge. Umzimbeet has 2 bathrooms. All guests may use the braai/lapa area next to the pool. Limited WiFi is available.

Hluhluwe town is under 10km away for food and liquor supplies. Hluhluwe Game Reserve is 26km away and Mkuze Game Reserve 60km away, both offering Big Five game viewing. Sodwana Bay, a marine sanctuary and coral reef with scuba-diving, is less than 90km away. Nearby attractions include the Zulu Croc Reptile Park and Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre.
