Wetlands Country House & Sheds is a bed and breakfast accommodation in Wakkerstroom, Mpumalanga, set on a 6 hectare property with views over Martin's Dam and surrounding wetlands.

Accommodation

The property has three luxury rooms, each with a private wooden deck, queen bed, fireplace, and views over Martin's Dam. Water Oak Cottage is a two-bedroom self-contained cottage with en-suite bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and fireplaces. The Garden Room has twin beds, an en-suite bathroom, a fireplace, and a patio. The property can accommodate up to 18 adults.

Facilities

Bed and breakfast and self-catering options are available. Guests can view the dam from the dining room. The 6 hectare property includes gardens and walking trails along the river. Fishing can be arranged on request. No pets are allowed.

Location & Surroundings

Wakkerstroom is a village in Mpumalanga, 285km from Johannesburg and 26km east of Volksrust, bordered by grasslands and wetlands. The area is known for grassland and wetland birds including Blue Crane, Blue Korhaan, Rudd's Lark, and Botha's Lark. The Volksrust Golf Course is a 20-minute drive away.
