About

Wild Horses Guest Lodge is five-star, adults-only (12+) accommodation in the Free State foothills of the Northern Drakensberg near Harrismith and Sterkfontein Dam.

Accommodation

Four individually decorated suites with en-suite bathrooms: Sunrise, Zebra, Guinea Fowl and Sunset, each sleeping two. A suite on the restored yacht Golden City also sleeps two. Rooms include Egyptian cotton linen, DSTV, air conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, bar fridge, digital safe and private patio.

Facilities

Infinity pool, rose garden, private library, and lounge with TV, WiFi and fireplace. Meals in the dining room or private wine cellar: continental or chef’s special breakfast, light lunch, gourmet three-course dinner. Fully licensed bar, no BYO alcohol. Solar power during load shedding.

Location & Surroundings

About 320 km from Johannesburg and 340 km from Durban, on the Clarens Route near Harrismith and Sterkfontein Dam. Panoramic views of Sterkfontein Dam with Platberg Mountain nearby; Sterkfontein Nature Reserve close by. Clarens is a short drive; Golden Gate Highlands National Park and Lesotho are close.
