About a 50-minute drive north-east of Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha airport. Access via the N2 towards Grahamstown/Makhanda (~50 km from the city), then a further ~13 km toward the reserve (individual lodge signs; no central entrance). Bukela: Karel Landman/Alexandria turn-off, then ~10 km into the reserve. Hlosi: about 70 km from Port Elizabeth along the N2 toward Grahamstown, then R342 toward Alexandria. Bush Lodge: about 63 km from Port Elizabeth via the N2 towards Grahamstown.
