About

Hitgeheim Country Lodge is owner-managed, malaria-free accommodation near Addo Elephant National Park in the Eastern Cape, with 16 free-standing thatched chalets.

Accommodation

Sixteen free-standing thatched chalets span Superior De Lux, Superior, Luxury, Luxury Family Room, Luxury Family Suite, Thatched Garden Cottage, and self-catering cottages. Adults-only and family wings each have a pool. Some have wooden decks and private splash pools. Guests note large rooms, terraces, and indoor or outdoor showers.

Facilities

Two pools serve the adults-only and family wings. Verandas, public lounge areas, eco-reserve walking trails, and open safari vehicles with trained guides are available. The in-house restaurant serves continental buffet breakfast with cooked options, traditional South African braai, and themed dinners. Airport transfers from Chief Dawid Stuurman Airport are offered.

Location & Surroundings

Near Addo Elephant National Park in the Eastern Cape, about 10 minutes from the main entrance, also about 20 minutes from the park. In the Sundays River Valley. A base for Garden Route and Cape Town trips and big-game safaris. Guided Addo and Schotia Private Game Reserve safaris available.
