Small safari accommodation in Thornybush Game Reserve near Hoedspruit with twice-daily game drives in a Big Five reserve led by qualified rangers and trackers.

Accommodation

Accommodation comprises large Meru-style safari tents and one luxury chalet, each with en-suite bathrooms, electricity, air-conditioning, and private patios. Tents feature thatch roofing, mosquito windows, and accommodate 4–5 guests. All rooms offer uninterrupted bush views. The unfenced camp allows freely roaming wildlife.

Facilities

The lodge features a swimming pool overlooking the bush and waterhole, a shaded hide for wildlife observation, bar, breakfast/lunch area, and lounge. A hide platform overlooks the waterhole and KwaMbili dam. Dining occurs in the boma under the stars. All meals prepared on-site; coffee and tea included.

Location & Surroundings

Located in Thornybush Nature Reserve within Greater Kruger Park, approximately 40 km from Hoedspruit and 480 km from Johannesburg. Orpen Gate to Kruger National Park is approximately one hour's drive away. The Drakensburg escarpment is visible in the distance.
