Directions to National Heritage Nature Park

Access via the Giants Castle road (P-19) from Mooi River town, reached from the N3. From Durban/Pietermaritzburg: Take the Mooi River Plaza Offramp. From Johannesburg: Take Exit 146, Mooi Toll Offramp. Follow the Giants Castle road approximately 35km, passing the Eskom sub-station, then turn at the 4-way STOP. All vehicles must stop at the Bio-security spray station (Foot & Mouth disease treatment) before turning onto the D-11 dirt road. Expect potholes from the 23km mark onward and road construction on the first approximately 6.5km of the Giants Castle road. The property is approximately 2.2km up from the entrance gate, signposted 'ORIBI Conservation & National Heritage'. GPS is not recommended.
