Saamrus Guest Farm offers pet-friendly self-catering accommodation in Magaliesburg, Gauteng, with farm cottages on 500 ha between a stream and the Magaliesberg foothills.

Accommodation

Eight fully equipped self-catering cottages with privacy, most at least 50 m apart. Units sleep two to seven. Many have a king-size bed or two singles, open-plan lounge and kitchen, fireplaces, and some a cement bath for two. Fenced gardens and private braais.

Facilities

Pool, walking trails, braai facilities and fireplaces. Fully equipped kitchens with fridge, microwave, two-plate gas stove, kettle and toaster. DSTV access with your own decoder and card. Towels, linen, and firewood for sale. Dogs, cats and birds welcome; each cottage has a fenced garden.

Location & Surroundings

Magaliesburg, Gauteng, in a woodland valley between a stream and the Magaliesberg foothills on 500 ha. About one hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria. River and bush walks, longer hikes up to 8 km through indigenous forest and grassland, birdwatching, and wildlife including blesbok, kudu and warthog.
