Spion Kop Lodge is restored Natal colonial farmhouse accommodation on a 700-hectare game farm on the KwaZulu-Natal battlefields route, set against the Drakensberg.

Accommodation

Stay options are Acacia Cottage, Aloe Cottage, and Lodge Rooms. Rooms include some separate from the main building, with en suite bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities, and fans. Full board or self-catering is available. Colonial-style chalets stand in park-like grounds, each individually furnished.

Facilities

Restaurant and bar in the main building, with a converted barn dining room. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Facilities include a swimming pool, natural rock pool, pub, historic library with a war-book collection, and conference venue hire for up to 26 delegates. Weddings and venue hire are offered.

Location & Surroundings

On the KwaZulu-Natal battlefields route against the Drakensberg, on historic Spearman farm looking out over Spion Kop. Spion Kop Nature Reserve and Spion Kop Dam are nearby. About 2½ hours from Durban and 3½ hours from Johannesburg via the N3, on the R600 near the Spionkop battlefield.
